Dear Love and Care Parents
I hope you all enjoyed the Fall Festival as much as the children and the staff did. It turned out fantastic thanks to all the PARENTS that came to set up and clean up. They all worked hard to decorate, cover the tables, put out the goodies, help change children, serve the children, and clean up the gym better than it was to start with. WELL DONE, you sweet “ANGELS”.
I would also like to thank all the families that donated the goodies for the party, cookies, treats, cupcakes, candy grapes, goodies, table clothes plates, cups and napkins. SUPER JOB PARENTS! What a way to start off the first party of the year! Miss Rebecca (Kaleb”s Mom is the Room Mother to contact about all the parties for the year. She did a super job on the Harvest party and so did all the other set up and take down parent helpers.
Be aware we have another party FAST approaching and we will need three more room parent helpers. This is our annual Thanksgiving Feast………….. We will be having each family sign up to Bring a dish that would feed 15 people. The children will be cooking too so it will be quite the feast. I will get the sign-ups out by Friday. The room parents will need to be able to arrive at 9:45 and start to set up. Because this one is, busy. I am asking that you do not bring any younger or older siblings with you so you can be free to help get the potluck feast ready to serve by 11:30 a.m.
All parents are invited to attend the Feast. You may arrive at 11:15 to watch the children sing a few songs and say a few poems in their classrooms. We will sit down to eat by 11:30 and it usually is over by 12:15. Any help to clean up and take down the chairs and tables would greatly be appreciated before you leave. Children that stay for extended care will be saying goodbye to their parents and friends and getting ready for nap by 12:30p.m. Remember if that day is not the usual day your child attends school just bring them at 11:15 to join the singing and eat the good food. The party will be over by 12:15. Parents must stay with their child during the party. If you see a child that is not sitting by a parent please include them to be part of your family so they won’t feel left out.
Another word of thanks is to all the parents that drove to the pumpkin patch. It was the best time we have ever had. Everyone kept up with his or her own children and the child or children they drove. That took some real keen eyes and cool heads especially in that hay bale maze. We were early to arrive and early to leave so it was quite the red-letter day. Make sure if you have any pictures you took at the patch please send them to school so we can put them up to share with the children.
Dates and events to Remember
Let us all rejoice that we have our teacher Miss Missy back. She comes to us with many new fun ideas and lots of hugs for our children. She has moved back to Livermore and she has really missed working here. Make sure you say hello and make her feel welcomed.
Every year we choose a way to show others a little Christmas Blessing and this year we will be joining Valley Bible Church with “OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD” sponsored by Franklin Graham (Billy Graham’s son). In the next few weeks, millions of caring people like you will be praying for children in the poorest areas of the world and filling shoeboxes with gifts for them.
Helpful hints for your shoebox;
Have your children draw pictures for the children to receive in their shoeboxes.
Let us all remember to give God Thanks for all His blessings that he gives us to enjoy. I give Thanks to God for each family that He has given us here at Love and Care Christian Preschool.

Dear Love and Care Parents,
Happy FALL to you all!! This is one of my favorite seasons of the year. I love the changes in the weather and the beautiful colors surrounding us outside. We are busy trying to bring some of that color inside with our art. Check out our walls and ceilings.
The children are happily enjoying their olds friends and making new ones.
The Pumpkin Patch field trip will be on Thursday October22 at 10:30. We will meet at school at 9:45 and caravan over to the patch at 10. All 2”s must be accompanied by their parent and we will need at least 5 drivers, that have room for 3 children in car seats, to drive. We are going to the G and m Farm we went there last year and it was fantastic. The price is $6 per child. The $6 for each child must be cash and placed in an envelope with the child’s name on it and amount. If younger siblings are attending you may add that to the envelope just write it down. Please no checks and do have it paid for by Friday Oct, 16th to help keep the confusion down on the day of the trip. All drivers must give me a copy of their Insurance and drivers license, which will be kept on file for future field trips. Any parents going may choose the children they want to take as long as it is agreeable with that child’s parents. The teachers will not be driving but will go in someone elses car to help with the children. I will send a letter of Field Trip rules asap.
If your child does not attend the school on that day just meet us at school with your child and you can follow us to the patch.
The letters this month are D, E, F and G. The color is orange.
Well we are certainly off to a great start.

Dear Love and Care Parents,
June and Summer Time are fast approaching and we can hardly wait! Miss Shell, Miss Brenda, and Miss Cricket have already started using our new summer themes of Sun, Sand, and Sea. Please stop by to see the new art projects in each room. As you all know, this Saturday June 6th at 11:00 will be the Dance Recital for all of Miss Lisa’s dancers. Then on Monday, June 8thth at 6:30 the Pre-Kindergarten class will be graduating! This will be for the friends and parents of Grandma and Miss Lisa’s class. Officially our Summer Program begins on June 15th. The school is open all summer and each class will continue their curriculum, reviewing all the alphabet letters and sounds, number, days of the week, and months of the year. Grandma’s class will continue their sight words and practice reading short books that will be taken home on Monday and returned that Friday. All classes will be using marking pens and pencils to practice our new printing skills. Our centers will have sand to sift and pour as well as water and rice. We love bubbles in the summer and popsicles, frozen treats, and ice cream. We will celebrate our Country’s Birthday with a parade in the gym and ice cream sundaes. Hope to see you all here this summer. Please let me know when your child will be attending school during the summer. If you have any questions, please ask me! Stay safe and happy and have lots of fun!!
Blessings from Grandma
