We believe that Love and Care Christian provides a caring, happy, and positive Christian atmosphere where preschoolers can feel safe to learn and grow. We also believe that parents are the first educators of children and have a vital part in establishing a positive bond between school and home.
We believe that:
-
children should be valued as individuals
-
children need to feel safe, supported, and respected
-
playing, talking, and using all their senses are the ways in which young children learn about the world around them
-
learning should be meaningful and fun
-
children need to be actively involved in learning
-
children learn through hands-on experience
-
children learn through taking risks, making mistakes, and celebrating successes
-
what children do rather than what they cannot do are the staring points in their learning
-
the learning should cater to the needs and interests of the individual child
-
the process of learning is more important than the product
-
children develop Spiritual, Social, Emotional, Physical, and Cognitive skills at differing rates
-
all aspects of a child's development are equally important and interwoven
-
children need time and space to produce work of quality and depth
-
children need to develop a sense of responsibility for their own learning
-
children learn from everything that happens to them
-
parents are the first teachers children have and are a vital part in their child's present and future educational success
-
children need appropriate guidance, freedom and independence
-
children need to feel a sense of accomplishment
-
children need to feel loved, accepted, and valued by their care givers
